Installing

There are 3 parts to installing BoonDocker.

  1. The BoonDocker Release that contains the BoonDocker.cab file that installs the Software and Libraries
     

  2. The Keycode.txt license file specific to your Smartphone
     

  3. The ChartTiff Data Set

Once the BoonDocker Release, Keycode.txt file and the ChartTiff Data Set have been downloaded or received on DVD they must be installed.

Note: User must have capability to download to Smartphone via USB cable connection to computer or to write memory cards on his computer directly.

The BoonDocker Release file consist of:

BoonDocker.cab The BoonDocker CAB Installation File.

Installation will install BoonDocker.exe and
the Cursors, Symbols and Help Folders
into the \Program Files\BoonDocker Folder.
ReadMeFirst.doc Word Format Read Me First File.
Release.txt Current Release Notes.
Installation.doc Word Format Installation Notes on BoonDocker.
  1. The user will need to unzip the BoonDocker.zip release file.
     
  2. The BoonDocker.cab file then needs to be copied to the Smartphone's \Program Files Folder.
     

  3. The user will then need to go to the Smartphone's \Program Files Folder and execute the BoonDocker.cab file.

    • Depending on the Window Mobile Version.
          The user may be warned that the previous version of BoonDocker will be replaced.
          Click OK to Continue.

          The user will then be warned that BoonDocker could not be removed.
          Just Click Yes to Continue
       

    • The user will be asked to select the location to install BoonDocker
      Select that it be installed on the Device NOT \Storage Card or \My Storage.
       

    • After the installation the Smartphone's \Program Files\BoonDocker Folder will contain:
           BoonDocker.exe
           MapiRule.dll
           The Cursors Folder
           The Symbols Folder
           The Help Folder
       

    • The installation will automatically build a BoonDocker.exe shortcut in
      "Windows\Start Menu\Programs"

The Keycode.txt file:

keycode.txt Your specific Smartphone number key code license file.

  1. The user will need to copy the keycode.txt file into the \Program Files\BoonDocker folder.

The ChartTiff Data Set will consist of at least 1 card folder depending on the size of the area covered and the memory card size specified during ordering.

The current BoonDocker release limits any Quad type to 512 quads per single data set.

Each card folder will contain:

Common to all cards  
Quads_24K.txt The list of all 1:24,000 Scale Topo Quads in the data set.
May not be present If no 24K quads in data set.
Quads_100K.txt The list of all 1:100,000 Scale Topo Quads in the data set.
May not be present If no 100K quads in data set.
Quads_250K.txt The list of all 1:250,000 Scale Topo Quads in the data set.
May not be present If no 250K quads in data set.
Quads_Aerial.txt The list of all Aerial Photo Quads in the data set.
May not be present If no Aerial quads in data set.
Quads_24K_qif Folder Folder contains all the 24K quad index files in the data set.
May not be present If no 24K quads in data set.
Quads_100K_qif Folder Folder contains all the 100K quad index files in the data set.
May not be present If no 100K quads in data set
Quads_250K_qif Folder Folder contains all the 250K quad index files in the data set.
May not be present If no 250K quads in data set
Quads_Aerial_qif Folder Folder contains all the Aerial quad index files in the data set.
May not be present If no Aerial quads in data set
Quads_NED_qif Folder Folder contains all the 60 meter NED Elevation quad index files in the data set.
May not be present If no NED quads in data set
Unique to each card  
Card.txt The card number and contents.
Unique to specific card.
Quads_24K Folder Folder contains folders of all 24K quads images on this card.
May not be present If no 24K quads in data set
Quads_100K Folder Folder containing folders of all 100K quads images on this card.
May not be present If no 100K quads in data set
Quads_250K Folder Folder containing folders of all 250K quads images on this card.
May not be present If no 250K quads in data set
Quads_Aerial Folder Folder containing folders of all Aerial quads images on this card.
May not be present If no Aerial quads in data set
Quads_NED Folder Folder contains all the 60 Meter NED Elevation quads on this card.
May not be present If no NED Elevation quads in data set
  1. The user will need to unzip each Card?.zip folder and copy the entire BoonDocker folder to the
    corresponding memory card (\Storage Card) of the set.
     
  2. When starting BoonDocker user may have any card of the set installed.
    BoonDocker     will notify user to insert correct card for current GPS position.
     
  3. Users which initially purchase a small ChartTiff Data Set may merge future purchased adjacent data sets by utilizing the Merge Datasets Menu
     
  4. Users that may have large memory card(s) may place multiple ChartTiff Data Sets on the memory card by utilizing the Datasets Location Menu
